If theres an opportunity to utilize the rooftop of your housing unit (even more if its just an empty space) then consider creating your very own rooftop garden. Rooftop gardens are the best way to go when it comes to making good use of unused areas. But also take note that when you do have such a space for use make sure that its not against city and homeowner regulations. Whether its because you live in a city and have no space for a garden or because you want to utilize your roof for more gardening space a rooftop garden could be just the thing for you! From the tops of apartment buildings to roofs in suburbia rooftop gardens have become all the rage within the last couple years. So if youve been thinking about a garden like this or have just now realized its a possibility here are some things to know before you take on creating your perfect rooftop Eden.
There are times when space becomes limited. And for some people (especially residents that are housed in backyard less houses) sometimes an empty roof can become an outlet for other leisurely interests (can also recreated into an outdoor space for accommodating guests) or hobbys. Now as for gardeners the top area of their apartment or any other high-rise theyre in can then be converted into rooftop gardens. There are a lot of rooftops that are rarely developed into something more useful thats why a lot of people are getting more creative and more resourceful when it comes to space constraints (thus the evolution of green roofs for healthy cities).
Near homes neighbors trees grow and leaf out people may put up a second story or business may build structure in close proximity to homes which all may impact rooftop wind turbines. The important thing is to think about as may variables as possible when deciding if a rooftop wind turbine makes sense and the location that fits well.
